Writing Assignment: Musical Memory (page 51)
  1. Read the requirements at the top of the page.
  2. Read AT LEAST THREE of the Musical Memory Models in google drive—begin with the end in mind:
    1. Anderson
    2. Horak
    3. Lillie
    4. Lebsack
    5. Marek
    6. Powers
    7. Smith
    8. Wellington
    9. Thomas
  3. Your length requirement is 450 words, miminum, but I’m guessing many of you will write much more.
  4. One other person will read this and comment on it (peer conference).  E-mail me as soon as we start work time the following:
    1. Name of anyone you do not feel comfortable working with
    2. Name of two people you would prefer to read your memoir, if possible—no guarantees whatsoever
  5. Think about your song and your memory.
  6. Start typing!
  7. Title your document, “Your Last Name--Musical Memory 2014”.
  8. Share it with Wiley or Willis, and she will print it for you for tomorrow’s peer conference.

  2. Here’s a copy of the rubric--let’s review it so we know what our targets are.
  3. Tell yourself, “This is a test, where I’m showing I know how to use everything I’ve learned in class thus far to revise my poem to a final draft.”
  4. Revise your poem.  (Leave it in the folder.)
  5. Thoughtfully fill out your rubric, and turn it in to the drawer.
