When You Come In
- Sign in.
- Upload your google doc to schoology. See Gerrit, Sarah or Malary for help.
- Grab some highlighters, please, and we’re going to color!
Go to pages 71-74, and highlight the following:
- yellow = play structure
- pink = background
- green = vocabulary
- blue = gods/goddesses
- orange = places
Vocabulary
- Review the quizlet standings. :-)
- Play quizlet to study the new vocab words--quiz tomorrow.
- After ten minutes, review the standings again!
Oedipus Rex Read-Aloud and Discussion Continue reading--yee-haw!
- Annotate as we go:
- DI = dramatic irony
- Things Oedipus says/does that make him a good king
- References to blindness and sight, not seeing and seeing
- Greek Myth Connections
- Questions (…mostly when you read on your own.)
- Box or highlight vocabulary words

When You Come In
- Sign in.
- Get a new pink daily reading log, and put your name on both sides of it, then grab your reading book.
- Grab a green bookmark journal sheet.
- Find your new seat! (...three weeks of class left!)
Read and Relax (2:00-2:30)
- Complete bookmark journal #4, AFTER YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY.
- Read and relax until I stop you.
- Fill out your pink sheet carefully. A lot of people lost daily reading points, because they were missing information on their pink sheet. :-(
- Turn in your book and pink sheet to the table.
Organization
- See the schedule for WEDNESDAY (below).
- Report to my room at 9:35, as soon as first block ends.

- Chart our six-way paragraphs.
