When You Come In
  1. Sign in.
  2. Open your Oedipus packet to page 20, and put your name in big letters across the top.
  3. Lay it on my table, next to my mug, please.

Vocabulary
  1. Review the quizlet standings.  :-)
  2. Play quizlet to study the new vocab words--quiz TUESDAY.
  3. After fifteen minutes, review the standings again!

Oedipus Rex Read-Aloud and Discussion Continue reading from page 20, line 304.
  1. Annotate as we go:
    1. DI = dramatic irony
    2. Things Oedipus says/does that make him a good king
    3. References to blindness and sight, not seeing and seeing
    4. Greek Myth Connections
    5. Questions (…mostly when you read on your own.)
    6. Box or highlight vocabulary words
  2. Thank you people who discussed a lot yesterday, and thank you to people who asked a few questions or made a few comments.  Your comments and questions during discussion will keep our reading of the play ALIVE!

When You Come In
  • Sign in.
  • Grab an orange vocab worksheet.
  • Dig out your snakebite article, write your name on it, and lay it on my table (drawer).

Plan from schoology:
  1. Complete the Vocab Worksheet for our new vocab words:  Garrulous, Amicable, and Nefarious.
  2. Find three GREAT pictures to SHOW what "Garrulous" means, and save them in our class google folder.
  3. Save them as "Your Last Name 1," "Your Last Name 2", and "Your Last Name 3".
  4. Find three GREAT pictures to SHOW what "Amicable" means, and save them in our class google folder.
  5. Save them as "Your Last Name 1," "Your Last Name 2", and "Your Last Name 3".
  6. Find three GREAT pictures to SHOW what "Nefarious" means, and and save them in our class google folder.
  7. Save them as "Your Last Name 1," "Your Last Name 2", and "Your Last Name 3".
  8. Go to the extra credit vocab spreadsheet, and type in ONE sentence using "Garrulous" correctly, ONE sentence using "Amicable" correctly, and ONE sentence using "Nefarious" correctly.
  9. Go to quizlet, and start learning the new words!  
  10. Play for fifteen minutes, then bag your computer.

Only a few kiddos in 3rd had time to read and relax.  This took the whole block in 4th.
