Third Block
Homework Due
We handed in our Theme for English B and our green sheet.
Writing Assignment
I read all the letters aloud (I don't want to say too much, in case young eyes are reading this, but I think you know what I'm talking about....), and we picked people to write back to. We talked about what should go in our letters, and we took some notes on our green prep sheet.
Revision
We talked about what revision is (re-seeing, rethinking, rewriting), and we revised the sentence on page 80 four different times using addition, subtractions, substitution and transposition.
We got into our folders and picked out ONE prose (not a poem) piece to revise, and then I explained the homework: revise one piece to a clean second draft, making at least ten changes, noting those ten changes, and being ready to peer conference with a partner tomorrow.
Life at Thirty
We read a few more of these aloud and made a few more guesses.
Other Matters
Anne Sophie announced she was staying, news that was greeted with cheers and applause. :-)
