When You Come In
- Sign in.
- Open your Oedipus packet to page 65.
- Write your name in big letters across the top of page 65.
- Leave it open, and lay it on my table, please.
New Vocab List (Oedipus)
- Get out your handout from yesterday, because you have little notes on the first ten words.
- We are going to spend ten or fifteen minutes quickly introducing ourselves to the rest of the words.
- You need your earbuds, because I want you to listen to each word aloud as you’re doing the flashcards.
Oedipus Rex--Circle Discussion and Read-Aloud
- Talk about people’s questions and comments over the reading assignments:
- Mythological Background (p. 65)
- Tragedy and the City (p. 67)
- Conventions of Greek Drama (p. 68)
- Aristotle’s Influence, starting at “Aristotle and, nevertheless….” (pp. 69-70)

- Lunch is at 12:08.
- Welcome back--when you’re finished with the schoology assignment, bag your computer, turn in your orange vocab sheet, and read and relax.
