When You Come In

2.      Grab your folder off the front table.
3.      Grab an iBook.
4.      Start a new google doc, and get ready to tell a story!  J

Writing Assignment
·       Using the following as a prompt, type for twenty-five minutes (fiction or non-fiction, your choice), after spending five minutes to brainstorm:  http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m37v3wZ6l21qee12to1_1280.png
·       Page Requirements:  1 1/2 to 2 1/2  pages

When You Finish Typing
1.       Let’s talk about HOW you want me to respond to this.  What kind of comments do you want/need to revise this piece?  How many comments do you need?
2.      Type me a note above your title, two sentences long, that tell me WHAT you want me to comment on, and WHY (and HOW MUCH).  J
3.      Print to room 212, FRONT AND BACK OR DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH INVOLVING GILA MONSTERS!

Organization and Portfolio Thinking
1.       Do a folder log-in of things you're getting back.
a.      Ogden Nash Poems
b.      Pen Pal Letter
c.      WE#8
2.      Trade yellow sheets with a neighbor—do you have all your stuff logged in?
3.      Make a paper-clipped pile of at least five pieces you feel might go in your portfolio—in other words, they show the best writing work of which you are capable.  Keep in mind, we will be revising them.
4.   Drag those five pieces on google docs into your Portfolio Collection/Folder.



Writing Assignment—Robot-Style:  Class Poem Line Revision
  1. Get the packet of class poems.
  2. Highlight every line YOU wrote.
  3. Type each line into a new google docs--simple as that!  :-)
