Writing Lesson:  Imagery

Writing Assignment:  Sense Poem Revision (p. 61)
1.      Read the directions, and discuss the models.
2.     Get a copy of the rubric, and review it with me.  What are you attempting to perfect in the final draft?
3.     Review my comments on your first draft.
4.     Create a final draft of the Sense Poem.
5.     Print a final copy.
6.     Thoughtfully complete the rubric.

Short Story Reminders

We will spend today preparing for our visit tomorrow with our second-grade writing buddies.  We will do the following:
1.      walk to the library to check out two good children's book
2.     read a little to each other
3.     get our interview questions
4.     discuss the overview and procedures for tomorrow

Homework for Tonight
1.      Read carefully “Interview Schedule and Directions, Friday, 3/2”—it’s your lesson plan for tomorrow.
2.     Read “Potential Second-Grade Interview Questions”, and highlight the TEN you feel will be most important to ask your kiddo(s) tomorrow. 
3.     Pack a sack lunch.

Friday
·      We will go to Stewart and meet and interview our writing buddies!
·      Bring a sack lunch, because we will be there from 11:30 until 1:05.
