Writing Workshop (22 minutes for page 60, then typing)
1.      Sense Poem:  Fill out page 60, then create a thoughtful first draft, using Vocabulary Variety.
2.     Print a hard copy, and I’ll send someone over in a bit to pick them up at 9:15.
3.     IF YOU FINISH EARLY, PLEASE READ YOUR ORANGE PORTFOLIO PAGES, OR GO THROUGH YOUR GOOGLE DOCS PORTFOLIO FOLDER AND START REVISING AND EDITING PIECES YOU THINK YOU’LL PUT IN YOUR PORTFOLIO.

·       Paper pass-back and folder log-in.

3:10:  Writing Assignment and Homework (Imagery and Diction)
1.      Answerless Questions (pages 58-9)
2.     Start now.
3.     Complete #s 2-8 for tomorrow. 
4.     Your answers have to look at least as detailed as the example for #1 to receive credit.
5.     Drop them in the drawer when you come to class tomorrow, please.  I’ll check them, and we’ll discuss them FRIDAY.

Short Story Discussion--Dialogue
1.      Pair up to read, discuss, and complete the Focus on Dialogue worksheets on pages 74-5.
2.     Pair up to read, discuss, and complete the “You Talkin’ to Me?” quiz on page 76.
3.     Come back together as a class to discuss answers.
4.     What makes a dialogue scene?  We’ll read and discuss the model, Building a Scene with Dialogue (p. 77).
