When You Come In
1.      Please sign in.
2.     Please get your Musical Memory Journal off the front circle table.

Organization and Reflection
1.      Days Remaining in Term 3 = 15 (not including last two days for finals)
2.     Unit 2 Review
3.     Last Unit 2 Wrap Up
a.     Finishing WWYLN (mostly today)
b.     Musical Memory—how much more do we want to work on this?  Is it a Final Portfolio possibility?  If so, I will plan time in class tomorrow for another peer conference, or for final drafting.
c.     Autobiogaphical Poem—revise to final draft (tomorrow or Wednesday)
4.     Next Stops
a.     Unit Three:  Showing, Not Just Telling
b.     Artful Compliments

Revision and Peer Conferencing (twenty minutes)
·       Where Were You Last Night? (handout with a kajillion directions)
E-mail me if you need a copy of the directions!

Final Draft:  WWYLN?  Complete STEP 3 on your directions sheet (twenty minutes)

WWYLN? Turn-In
1.      Print a final copy.  (I’ll send someone over at twenty minutes until the end of the block to pick them all up.)
2.     Make sure the WWYLN? is shared with me on google docs so I can see your revisions and peer conferencing.
3.     If you finish early, go through your google doc Portfolio folder, and start making revisions and corrections on pieces you know you want to include in the Portfolio.
4.     Put your iBooks back in the cart, and plug them in, for the love of all that is holy!

Portfolio (last twenty minutes)
1.      Finish viewing slideshow.
2.     Review your ideas.

Homework
·       Spend fifteen to twenty minutes thinking about your portfolio, reading the orange pages, and selecting possible portfolio pieces.

Viewing
·      Graphic Memoirs—we viewed the memoirs, and we filled out viewing sheets for each writer/illustrator. (thirty minutes)

Big Question:  What is a short story?  What are the elements a short story should have? (or a novel)
1.      Pair share (five-ish minutes)
2.     We created a big list of fiction terms, which you will find in the google docs folders for our class (twenty minutes)
3.     Two models for you to read—enjoy! (fifteen minutes)
